Our App does that
When you use the Sport Clips app, you don't have to put your life on hold while you wait for your haircut. Check in online, then check out until it's time.
Safety is our priority.
When you enter our store, you can feel confident and safe. Our Stylists are “Clean Certified” with enhancements to our existing processes that are now better, safer and cleaner than ever before.
- All Stylists have completed new Clean Certification Courses.
- All Stylists wear a mask and complete a daily wellness check.
- We strongly recommend that all Clients wear a mask. But don't worry - if you don't have a mask, we have disposable masks available for you. Sport Clips stores will follow state and local mandates.
- Clients will be asked questions about their general health and if they aren't feeling well, are running fever or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19, they will be asked to come back at a later time for their haircut.
- Fresh capes are used for every Client.

We also support the American Red Cross in their efforts to collect life-saving blood and platelet donations.

Sport Clips Columbia Heights does not offer chemical treatment services, including color, highlights, permanents, or straightening. Our stylists do not use open blade razors.
Sport Clips Clean Certified Program Team Member and Client Safety
Sport Clips Haircuts locations around the country are beginning to reopen for business. For more than 25 years, Sport Clips has been committed to ensuring the well-being of our Clients and Team Members, and we have enhanced those efforts to ensure our processes are better, safer and cleaner than ever. When you visit us, you'll notice some changes to our processes and to the physical set-up of the store.
Before we get to that, we strongly recommend Clients use Online Check In before heading to any Sport Clips location. Because states, counties and municipalities are opening up at different times, and may have varied guidelines, so are our stores. The best way to find out if your favorite location is open for business is to use Online Check In, where you can check on the store's operating hours, view Stylist availability and schedule your service with an estimated wait time. Once you get to the store for your haircut service, here's what we're doing to keep Clients and Team Members safe:
“Sport Clips Clean Certified”
- Stylists are now required to be "Sport Clips Clean Certified," which means they have completed training courses on cleaning, disinfection and sanitation specific to COVID-19. You'll also notice the addition of disinfectant at each cutting station, hand sanitizer throughout the store for Stylist and Client use, and cleaning and wiping down surfaces between each Client.
Wellness Checks
- Stylists are required to complete Wellness Checks and must be cleared before they can begin their shift. Clients will be asked questions about their general health and if they aren't feeling well, are running fever or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19, will be asked to come back later for their haircut.
Masks
- For the safety of our Team Members and Clients, all Stylists are required to wear masks while they are working.
Haircut Services
To limit contact between Stylists and Clients, you'll notice some changes in our haircut services.
- We'd love to greet you with a handshake, but we'll be giving you a wave, a nod, an "air-five" or some other non-contact welcome when you arrive.
- Each Client receives a clean cape and will be asked to remove their own capes after receiving their service.
- Clients who receive services that include the hot towel treatment will be asked to remove the towel from their face.
- Beard trims will not be offered at this time.
- Depending on state and local regulations, some stores may be limited in the haircut services they are allowed to offer.
Store Layout
To maintain social distancing requirements, some changes have been made to the layout of the store.
- Removal of chairs (or non-use of those chairs) from the cutting floor to allow for enough space to put six feet minimum distance between each one.
- Removal of chairs in the waiting area to minimize the number of Clients in the store at one time. At some locations, there will be chairs placed outdoors where Clients can wait. Clients can also wait in their vehicles in the parking lot.
- Limiting use of chairs in the shower/shampoo area to ensure proper spacing between Clients.
Check In/Check Out
We'll say it again - Online Check In is the way to go to limit your wait time and your time spent in the store.
- Whether you use Online Check In or not, when you arrive at the store, please let a Stylist know you're there - especially if you are waiting outside the store.
- In some areas, where a scheduled service time is required, we will provide the next available service time, confirm your spot and provide the estimated arrival time for your service.
- When opted in the text option in our Online Check app or web portal, the Client will receive a text reminder 15 minutes before the estimated arrival time - and a 1-minute text reminder noting your Stylist is ready now and you should enter the store.
- When you check out, you'll still need to use the kiosk, but we now have protective covers over the keyboard and encourage you to use a rubber tipped stylus pen. We clean these after every Client, so they are clean when you use them.
- Consider contactless payment methods. Sport Clips accepts Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, Samsung Pay, as well as debit and credit cards with the contactless symbol.
We know things are going to be different as we reopen our stores, but what hasn't changed is the superior service and the MVP haircut experience you receive at Sport Clips. Whether you waited for us and can't wait to get that first haircut in weeks, or you attempted an at-home cut that needs to be fixed, Sport Clips Stylists are here to get you cleaned up, trimmed up, and fixed up so you can look and feel your best!

VFW | Help a Hero
In 2013, Sport Clips established the VFW’s Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship program, which provides scholarships for service members and veterans to use at post-secondary schools and trade schools. To date, we have awarded 1,750 scholarships totaling $8 million.
Our scholarship recipients come from every part of the United States, represent every branch of service and are earning a variety of degrees, including engineering, computer science, business, accounting, health care and many more.
St. Baldrick’s Foundation
As the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation believes that kids are special and deserve to be treated that way. St. Baldrick’s funds are granted to some of the most brilliant childhood cancer research experts in the world and to innovative explorers who bring with them the promise of a future free from childhood cancers. Kids need treatments as unique as they are – and that starts with funding research just for them.
In 2016, Sport Clips Haircuts proudly signed on as the first national partner of St. Baldrick’s and committed to give more than $1 million dollars in support of childhood cancer research over the next three years.
